The report examined two types of video analytics: edge-based, which have analytics built into the camera, and server-based, where video is uploaded to a server and then ana- lyzed. "The most common approach is a hybrid approach, in which server-based as well as edge-based combina- tions are being used in different scenarios," Katkar said. Edge- based analytics are more scalable, Katkar said, which is a main differentiator. Server-based analytics can gen- erally house more features, he said. Instead, we subject them to about 30 heavy strikes – directly on their weakest spots. Don't worry though, we keep them away from elephants. It's just one of the tough tests Axis cameras face, so you can be sure you'll always get the best image quality and high performance – no matter what's thrown at them. www.securitysystemsnews.com DECEMBER 2014 SECURITY SYSTEMS NEWS SECURITY SYSTEMS NEWS security stats 2 www.securitysystemsnews.com JaNUaRY 2016 security stAts
