Harrington has played a key role in Brivo's success in gaining approval as a fully compliant FICAM solution by the General Services Administration. He will manage sales for one of seven territories for Brivo in North America. -----------------------Viscount Systems has appointed Michael McCleaf as regional sales manager for the Eastern United States. McCleaf, a 32-year veteran of the industry, will be responsible for revenue growth of sales of the Freedom Access Control System. Before joining Viscount, McCleaf was most recently a sales manager for Brivo Systems, and held the director of global operations position at Siemens. Integrated Control Technology, an access control provider, has hired Bill Lozon as sales manager for the United States. An industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, Lozon will be developing a network of ICT authorized integrator and sales channels using ICT's ProtegeGX and WX platforms. Before joining ICT, Lozon most recently served as sales leader for Interlogix. He also served as national sales manager for Fire-Lite/Notifer by Honeywell. -----------------------Habitec Security, a residential and commercial security company, has promoted Tony Adams to the position of service manager. Adams has worked at Habitec for 15 years as a service technician. "His promotion will enhance our management structure, which supports Habitec Security's long-term goals and growth," said John Smythe, president of Habitec. Five Questions Bryan Viau recently became COO of Minneapolis-based VTI Security. He started with VTI in 1996, frst serving as the president of Loss Control Solutions, a subsidiary software company, until its sale in 2003. He afterwards became EVP of VTI, a member of Security-Net. The company credits him with being "the driving force behind building a strong company culture based on being a trusted business partner" to VTI's customers and colleagues. Security Systems News caught up with Bryan in January and asked him fve questions. calendar Feb. 4-5 Milestone Integration Platform Symposium. Held at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., the two-day event gives attendees access to over 45 exhibitors of Milestone platform integrations, an array of industry speakers and news on products, solutions and trends. During the conference, Milestone will be revealing new products and technical presentations. -----------------------Feb. 6-8 Barnes Buchanan Security Alarm Conference 2014. The 19th annual investor conference, held in Palm Beach, Fla., at The Breakers, features an alarm industry and market overview delivered by Michael Barnes, partner with Barnes Associates. Additional speakers include ADT CEO Naren Gursahaney; Monitronics CFO Mike Meyers; Protection 1 chief information officer Don Young; and Vivint chief innovation officer Matt Eyring. March 3-4 2014 Biometrics Summit. The conference brings together the leading minds in biometrics to discuss, debate and explore the future of the industry. Representatives will be present from the health care, law enforcement, financial, government and education sectors. Attendees will hear results from the latest biometrics deployments from a variety of organizations. Discussions will cover a broad range of biometrics applications. -----------------------April 1-4 ISC West. Held at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, ISC West will feature over 1,000 exhibitors across all sectors of the security industry, from access control and alarm monitoring, to security integration and video surveillance.
