This advancement makes it pos- sible for professional integrators to easily add IP functionality to exist- ing coax systems—giving them a new source of recurring revenue through cloud subscription plans without the need to replace cameras or cabling, the Manything press release reads. "Cloud video storage is ramp- ing as the next frontier solution and RMR opportunity for dealers," Peter Mendlinger, VP of sales at Brooklyn Low Voltage Supply, said in a pre- pared statement. "Cloud DVR compat- ibility with Manything Pro allows BLVS integrators to further differentiate their product offering, bring true value-add to their DVR clients, and strengthen their own revenue model." Scansource Inc. acquires Canpango GREENVILLE, S.C.—ScanSource Inc., a global provider of technology products and solutions based here, in August acquired Canpango, a longstanding Salesforce implementation and consult- ing partner. Canpango provides profes- sional services for companies around the world, including Salesforce solution configuration and implementation, busi- ness process consulting, training and education, application development, data migration and reporting. With this acquisition, ScanSource and Intelisys partners can build out their customer relationship management capabilities and professional services offering without starting their own prac- tice, ScanSource said in its announce- ment. "With Canpango's expertise and resources, partners can uncover and expedite new revenue streams and opportunities, such as CRM and cus- tomer support solutions integrated directly with contact center as a service (CCaaS) and unified communications as a service (UCaaS)," the announce- ment read. The acquisition closed on Aug. 20 and terms of the deal were not dis- closed. This new com- bined offering provides up to 4 wire-free cameras per Arlo FlexPower Base Station. According to Eagle Eye Networks, its global support organization has experi- enced and assisted in hun- dreds of cases where certi- fied resellers and custom- ers have suffered through efforts to operate wireless cameras and off-the-shelf access points in commercial applications. "It is for this reason we are so very pleased to be work- ing with the Arlo team," Dean Drako, CEO of Eagle Eye Networks, said in the announcement. EZUniverse CEO Leszek James was named president of the EZUniverse business at DTT. DTT is also taking on the c o m p a n y 's a p p ro x i m a t e l y 70 employees, including the entire senior leadership team, bringing DTT's total employee count to more than 400. "360iQ is a fantastic tech- nology platform with 50 dif- ferent application developers working on it," DTT CEO Mike Coffey told Security Systems News. "It has about 7,000 sites running on the platform today, so it gives us some scale and brings our site count to more than 43,000 today, while giving us a presence in Europe."
