Theobald has joined the senior leader- ship team of Rapid Security Solutions, LLC (RSS) as vice president of opera- tions. [see page 38 for Five Questions with Theobald] Theobald said she is excited to have been actively recruited by RSS and will focus on refining current operat- ing procedures with the goal of gaining greater efficiencies at the company's headquarters and five Florida branch locations. "We want to make certain RSS is ready and prepared for its next stage of growth in every aspect of opera- tions," she said in the announcement. "Having worked in the manufacturing and monitoring sides of the business allows me to leverage my past knowl- edge and relate it to better practices at RSS. All the different experiences that have led me here will provide a good basis for success as we continue mov- ing forward in this exciting and rapidly changing market." As vice president of operations, Theobald will lead, manage and main- tain responsibility for all RSS produc- tion and client service operations and team members. Theobald assumes the new role at a critical time in the company's development, according to Steven Paley, president and chief executive officer of Rapid Security Solutions. "We are at an inflection point where we will surpass our revenue goals for 2017 and need an experienced senior operations leader, like Jennifer, on our team to facilitate our continued growth," he said in the announcement. Guidepost Solutions adds industry veteran to lineup NEW YORK—Guidepost Solutions, a global compliance, investigations, and security and technology consulting company based here, announced on Oct. 17 that Stephen Grein has joined their Dallas office as a director of enter- prise solutions within its Security and Technology Consulting division. "We are looking forward to hav- ing Stephen's expertise on our team," Guidepost's regional VP Patrick Markham said in the announcement. "His background and extensive knowl- edge within the managed services and enterprise solutions space will provide our clients with comprehensive support and strategic guidance for their enter- prise-level security system needs." CGL introduces new franchise model Cook to open new HQ By Paul Ragusa WESTWOOD, Mass.—CGL Electronic Security Inc., an elec- tronic security products and ser- vices provider based here, recently introduced a new franchise model strategy to grow their national business, and announced its first franchise location in Philadelphia. The new franchise group, CGL Technologies LLC, will partner with CGL Electronic Security Inc. and be run by John Nemerofsky, who has been named president of the new company. "The combination of CGL's integration expertise and the history of John Nemerofsky's success establishing new ven- tures will provide our clients the ability and confidence to use our services for all their locations," Ron Ludvigsen, CEO of CGL Electronic Security Inc., said in ADT makes buy in integration space By Spencer Ives MILWAUKIE, Ore.—About five years ago, Cook Security Group started considering a new space and in mid-September the com- pany broke ground on new head- quarters. Cook Security Group is a sys- tems integrator, offering a variety of services, including alarms and access control, CCTV, con- sulting, ATM management, but the company is getting more involved in managed security services and that played a role in the new building. "It is dif- ficult to find the space that we wanted that had a select amount of warehouse for equipment that we keep, but the majority of it being more of an operations center, housing our network operations center and our entire technology team," Randy Neu, Cook Security Group's EVP and CMO, told Security Systems News. "What we're finding is that we're fixing more stuff remotely, because we're becoming more of a technology company in addition to being a boots-on-the-street integrator," said Neu. The new facility will be three stories and about 26,000 square feet, Cook Security announced, and it will contain about 150 employees. In total, Cook Security Group has more than 250 employees. The company, which expects to be completed with the building around August 2018, has a national network of value added resellers as well as 10 branch offices in western states. When it comes to Cook Security's customer base, 80 percent of the company's clientele the announcement, noting that Nemerofsky has a history of suc- cess building teams and a strong track record of leadership in the security industry. "This important acquisi- tion enhances expansion of our integrated solutions division across the coun- try," ADT chief administra- tive officer Dan Bresingham said in the announcement. "MSE's highly talented team will add tremendous value, presenting a compelling g ro w t h o p p o rt u n i t y f o r ADT." MSE employs about 75 team members, including techs, business develop- ment and project manag- ers who work from several locations: Branchburg, N.J.; Woodridge, Ill.; Goodyear, Ariz.; Sacramento, Calif.; Irvine, Calif.; New Haven, Conn.; Fredericksburg, Va.; Rochester, N.Y.; Albany, N.Y. and Jupiter, Fla. "We are a leader in intel- ligent and innovative net- worked physical security products, services and solu- tions," MSE president Mark Milam said in a prepared statement. "Joining ADT gives us a broader scale to continue delivering excep- tional service and market- leading solutions to our customers." MSE will keep operating under its brand for the near future and Milam will con- tinue leading MSE. He joins a growing list of previous owners/operators, dubbed the "Owner's Club," who remain at ADT, post-acqui- sition, to help ensure high- touch personal service to all customers. T h e M S E t r a n s a c t i o n comes on the heels of ADT's recent acquisition of Protec, part of an overall corporate strategy to strengthen ADT's Commercial and National Account business in a highly fragmented market. SSN He pointed out that the com- pany has created a "success algo- rithm," and "taken the time to put together all of our processes and procedures into an operat- ing manual, just over 800 pages, which tells you how to do every- thing that we do," he said, adding that the company also created a training program called CGL University. "We have spent a lot of time on this, and created it with the idea that, as these franchises grow they are going to be in all the time for training on our systems and processes, and as they hire new employees, they will continue to send people through." CGL Technologies LLC also announced the opening of its first office in Philadelphia, which will be headed by security industry veterans Remo Patitucci and Jon McCormack. "We have labeled them internally the fab five, and as we bring these franchises on, we want to work through the training and the start-ups and really perfect that process over the next handful of months and then just put our foot on the gas after that."
