Following the show, Sherida Sessa, industry vice president for ISC Events, told Security Systems News that "All of the metrics are up." The show had more than 30,000 attendees, a 3 percent increase from previous years and a new milestone for the show, according to Sessa. The show had more than 1,000 exhibitors, more than 200 of which were new to the show this year. Will Wise, group VP for Reed Exhibitions' security portfolio, is new to the organization. He joined Reed weeks before ISC West 2017. The business, now called ObjectVideo Labs, will accel - erate Alarm.com's research and development of video services and video analyt - ics applications for both the residential and commercial markets, and will continue to provide advanced research and engineering services for federal government custom - ers. "We're at a very exciting time in security in general. There's a lot that's changing, a lot of new tech - nology that's available—just what we saw last week: with all of the artificial intelligence that's coming online and especially the drones and robots," she said.
