"IpDatatel is an interesting piece for us," Larry Folsom, president of I - Vi e w N o w told Security Systems News. As part of this, " m o r e a n d m o r e w h a t you'll see is that I-View Now will connect to signal processing devices to lever- age our video connectivity." This integration will include products from ipDatatel's line of Home Area Network products, which Folsom said will be released in February. Additionally, I-View Now released on Feb. 6 an integra- tion with Milestone's video I-View Now has a new wave of integrations management software, XProtect Corporate and XProtect Enterprise. The integration with SafeZone- edge, analytics provided by Digital Barriers, also was made available. The analytics currently is available on compatible AXIS cameras and encoders, I-View Now said. This gives I-View Now the ability to "not only process the video, the clip and the live view like we traditionally do, but we can take the analytic that's running on that camera and receive it as an alarm signal, as an additional zone to a security system. An integration with Avigilon's Rialto A4 encoder was also announced. "We think that encod- er is pretty exciting," said Folsom, because this encoder will "unify different signals and video in our platform." The frst FLIR integration, with FLIR DNR500 Series NVRs, was also released on Feb. 6. Folsom said there will be more FLIR integrations coming soon. Folsom also talked about the upcoming year; "I think it's an interesting time, where standards are coming together, products are making it easier to provide this service. I think 2015 is this year where video verifcation makes people safer." SSN SBN CLOUD certifcation product would go," UL's Schmit said. Schmit said the previous UL standard "was written was from the perspective of a tradi- tional central station operating model." The standard was not applicable to the SBN Cloud product or cloud products in general, he said. This led UL to publish a new document, UL 827a, outlining requirements for hosted central station service providers. "The concept of cloud-hosted and, possibly as importantly, cloud-hosted virtualized infra- structure for a UL central sta- tion is a pretty progressive step forward for UL," Conrad said. He added that SBN Cloud's certification will give more options to the industry. Schmit said that he expects that other cloud-based services will seek this UL listing in the future. IBS has been in business since 1981. Ten North American monitoring companies use IBS' current SBN software, Kolind said.
